Frequently Asked Questions

If you are looking for more information, please read our FAQ's below and don't hesitate to get in touch if there is something further you require.

Do you use positive methods?

Absolutely! I firmly believe that the kindest way is the best way. Dogs require leadership and boundaries, rewards are given when dogs follow their handler.

Dogs with behavioural problems often require firmer handling, however you will not catch me using anything but kind, corrective methods and rewarding the dog when  it makes the right choice. All dogs need treats!

Do you train difficult dogs?

Absolutely! My personal dog training journey began with an extremely difficult rescue French bulldog. It was many years of hard work, sore muscles and endless patience to help Hugo that sparked my love of dog training.

During the last eight years, I have had the pleasure of working with many challenging dogs and seen the joy in their owners  as they overcome these challenges.

Who can I bring to my session?

Whoever it is important for! Initial consultations work best when the person who does or will do the majority of the training attends, however, it is important that anyone who is handling the dog is involved. We encourage families to bring their children during training sessions when appropriate.

How long will it take to train my dog?

How long is a piece of string?

Dog training is an individual experience, some dogs pick up training quicker than others, some dogs require more support and guidance. It also depends on what you mean by 'trained', dog training can continue as long as you want it to. Many dogs love learning new activities and mastering new skills and want to keep learning for as long as possible!

What do I need to bring to my session?

Please bring any equipment or items that you regularly use to train the dog. This could be a lead, collar, or harness. We will discuss important training tools and what will work best for you in tour sessions. Please also bring any treats you regularly use, and the dog is important too!

What if it's raining? Will you cancel the session?

I'd suggest a waterproof!

Unfortunately, the Great British weather is often inclement. Training will go ahead in most cases. Please contact if you're not sure. Generally, weather will only impact training sessions if it is below -3 degrees, above 21 degrees or we are experiencing lightning storms.

Sessions that are impacted by weather will be rearranged.

Where will my session take place?

That depends! Initial consultations and private sessions take place on St Francis Avenue (B92 7BL),

Mind Masters and Puppy group classes take place on Stratford Road (B90 4AY), Puppy Aventure takes place on Woodlea Drive (B91 1PJ).

Sunday Pack Adventure meets at Brueton Park (B91 3HA), weekday Pack Adventure varies within Solihull and the surrounding areas and all Wild Walk locations are different.
